Rewards Taken Away

I recently turned in my notice to my employer, Fresenius Medical Care. As a result, they chose to terminate my employment on October 3rd, along with my corporate AMEX card. I had spend my own money to sign up for the rewards program, and went to utilize my points. Unfortunately I was told that since my employer took too long to reimburse me with over $10,000 so I could pay off my bill, and the card was already cancelled that I would not be awarded these points, which would account for nearly $100 in rewards.

This is not an acceptable practice, I earned these points and although I escalated to the Supervisor she informed me that I would still not be awarded the points.
