Costco American Express and reward coupon
First off, I did not realize that the reward coupons were attached to February statements. Second, I did not realize they expire in 6 months. I called in to customer service and explained to the Philippino service rep that I did not realize that I had a coupon attached to my February 2013 statement (It was attached to the very last page... page 10) I did not know that coupons were even attached to February statements until opening the 2014 February statement. She was very insincere saying I should open all my statements and look at all the pages. I said I do not always open some of my statements because I call in to retrieve my transactions and my payments are on automatic payment. She said she could not help me and

she would not reissue it. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she, too, was from the Philippines and she, too, was just as inflexible and rigid.
First off the reward checks should at the very least not expire for a year and if you do not use it then they should be flexible and extend a special courtesy to customers especially their good customers. This is a
multi million dollar company. I do not understand why they have such bad customer service to reissue them as a one time courtesy. I am very unhappy with the way in which my matter was handled.
