    I was charges a $27 late fee for missing the payment by 2 days and Customer Service told me the reason I gave them was not good enough to reverse the charge? I usually pay as soon as the bill arrives, I always pay the full balance and they will cut me no slack the first time in 3 years that I am 2 days late?   • I need my money ASAP

    I called in today asking for my account to be open because a merchant was trying to return me the money for a purchase of $4832.97 but the store was unable to do so because my account or the card was closed and they told me that I was screw and that they could not open up the card so I could receive my money that I would need to speak to the merchant I did that and the merchant told me the only way to do that was to return it to the original card and that it was even illegal to return me the money if it's not threw the card it's an emergency my kids are sick and have no money for...   • Honor your promise

    I don't know since when American Express has such a horrible customer service, even the supervisor was terrible. I was told that American Express doesn't need to be responsible for what their employee told their customers.   • Plenti signup is a mess

    I am trying to register and combine three Plenti cards we ended up with (two from Rite Aid and one from Macy's). Your phone staff seems unable to do it. They say I need three phone numbers, one for each card, and insist we have to provide a date of birth. I will give a date of birth if you guarantee you won't be hacked.   • Won't Cancel cards

    I purchased three American Express PASS cards for my daughters a few years ago. In January their computer had a glitch that cause the cards to be loaded up to 5 times per day without my permission.   • Issues with Amex Platinum Service

    I tried to book a flight through The airline I wanted to fly was not listed in the options. When I called Customer service I spoke with a supervisor named Pat who informed me that although she was able to find the flight/airline named XL Airways out of France they must charge me to book it over the phone. If it was avail online there is no booking fee.   • Refunding a gift card

    I purchased an $180. Gift card to pay for bus tickets on 5/9/15 @ 3:49 pm I must have dropped the card after leaving the store. American Express claims they could not find my card.     I recently turned in my notice to my employer, Fresenius Medical Care. As a result, they chose to terminate my employment on October 3rd, along with my corporate AMEX card. I had spend my own money to sign up for the rewards program, and went to utilize my points.     Using American Express Travel to make hotel reservation, I found that the the banner of "low price guarantee" above rates do not necessarily apply to the rate they are showing -- misleading since fine print effectively negates that guarantee -- and when asked, response from agent on phone was that the banner is not associated with the rate....     First off, I did not realize that the reward coupons were attached to February statements. Second, I did not realize they expire in 6 months.     I've had a charge card with AMX since 2005. I have not had one complaint with in AMX in all these years until now. Their customer service used to be fantastic, but it sucks now.     My American Express is linked to my Costco Membership. Back in February I received a letter from AMEX regarding my Costco membership. I called the day I received the letter and provided my Costco Membership, and was told a new card with my new Costco Membership number would be sent.     I had a gold card with no annual fee for first year. Before start of second year, I called and opted for a credit card with no annual fee. I was issued one.     Someone is using my email account for their American Express online account. I too have an American Express account so I cannot just create a filter and trash them all. American Express fails to use email verification, allowing users to purposefully or accidentally attach the wrong email to their account. This is bad practice and amateurish.     I cannot transfer more funds to my SERVE card even though the initial transfer went ok and nothing has changed. Have spent an hour and 50 minutes on hold now the last 35 minutes for a supervisor.     AMEX cancelled my BRITISH AIRWAYS AMEX CARD with no notice just saying they no longer felt i was creditworthy for the card at all as the exposure I was creating was not covered by their insurance.   • Refund of credit balance

    I have been working with American Express to get a refund on my credit balance and due to incompetence in the customer service department, I still do not have my refund and the account has been closed for 6 months. Two refunds checks have been mailed, but they keep sending them to an old address after repeatedly giving them my correct address.     Hi, I purchased a new teen Amex passcard because of the promotion you had going. I put $25 on the card and waited for the $25 bonus which I did not receive.     Had to cancel my platinum card after 30 plus years due to mismanagement by Amex who kept sending me books we didn't want and charging hundreds for them, even after promising for five years it wouldn't happen.     I am a Delta Airlines employee and got the Delta Gold AMEX in 2007 with a credit line of $1000. In November 2008 they lowered my credit limit to $600 without advising me first.
